Brake fault light but only when headlights on?

Featured Replies

Hi bit confused. My sons 2005 fiesta seems to be displaying the brake warning light (the one that comes on when you pull the handbrake) whenever the headlights or sidelights are turned on. If the headlights are off the warning light is off and only comes on with the handbrake, as it should. But If the headlights are turned on, the warning comes on all the time. I’ve checked the brake fluid and all the lights are working correctly but can’t understand why the brake warning light comes on only with the headlights. If there was a problem with the brakes I would have thought the warning light would come on all the time, not just wither the headlights? Any ideas?

sounds like you need a car electrician / visit to garage.
