A sad day as my beloved mk4 1.3 Fiesta Finesse is SORN'ed. Only done 38,000 miles since new. Was expecting to only have to put a plate in the sills. Only to remover the wheel arch lining and discover it was like rusty swiss cheese. Now I've got to decide whether its worth selling or just scrap it. is the really an interest in these?

This is a typical low milage car still scrap!

Yeah it's a shame, If only people knew that waxoyl was a thing. Previous owner did everything else right except not getting it waxoyled.

Even that's bad if not regular maintained use to be put on loads of cars in the 70's & 80's if cracks moisture gets in corrosion then goes undetected till too late. My father inlaw use to paint sump oil from oil change underneath and even that if not careful deteriorates rubber bushes.
