Lost steering wheel controls and reverse camera

Featured Replies

Hi

As above really. I switched from SYNC 1 to 2 and followed the instructions on here very carefully and everything seems to be working fine except for the reverse camera,that when I put it in reverse it pops up with "Camera is unavailable please contact dealership". I have tried a few different configurations in Forscan, I have reverted to B=PDC HMI Enabled, RVC Present, Reserved, Illumination FoE which leaves me with all the sensors working and beeping away and a graphic of the car showing the sensors going different colours so that is working fine just not the camera. The plug I used is a universal Fakra with the correct cable and found pin 1 and 2, one being top left when looking at the front of the male plug and two being the one below it.

I also have no steering wheel audio functions or voice command.

I have up dated the BCM and IPC as suggested and re-checked this.

I'm unsure what to do from here apart from check the fuse for the camera.

Any help would be appreciated.

After perusing the Forscan there is an un-clearable fault.

Code: B11BA - Steering Wheel Audio Switch Pack

If I go here;

https://www.autocodes.com/b11ba_ford.html

It talks about open circuits and shorts etc so I assume the pins that I swapped haven't connected properly when plugged back in to the APIM.

What are your thoughts please?

Camera wise I found this topic

With this image in

Which points towards me needing pin 2 & 4 instead of 1& 2. Would you think this is correct, perhaps worth a try.

I've just bought a Focus again so I'm back to square one, I'm not even sure where to start
