HI, just picked up new Fiesta ST Line X Edition this afternoon, however just noticed when I double lock the vehicle there does not seem to be a red light flashing to indicate alarm functioning. I have not had time to read the manual to see if I need to reset anything, just thought someone may be able to give me a quick reference until I get time tomorrow to sort. Many thanks upfront. I thought it seemed odd when I got mine, but the Mk 8 doesn't have a red light to show the alarm isn't armed.

Many txs for reply, saves me scouring through the handbook tomorrow. I find no visual alarm armed light unusual, would have thought that anything that adds towards visual security would be encouraged by the insurance companies. The Mini I sold today had the flashing red light under the rear view mirror and was an easy check that the car was locked, although I can look to see if the electric door mirrors are closed in I suppose. 

If you wait for a while the door lock indication light in front of the driver door handle appears. Quite hard to see, not sure if it stays on permanently, haven't stuck around long enough to know.

I don't have an alarm indicator light on mine.
