fiesta MK7 1.6 Jerking

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

I have ford fiesta MK7, 2016, 1.6 petrol engine 105HP. It worked fine for 60k. But since few months ago, it started to jerk when accelerating. This is happening only between cold and hot engine, when it is starting to warm up. When you are driving at constant speed and little foot on the acceleration pedal, maintaining speed. Feeling is like you are pumping gas a little. Just like small jerking....

What can it be? I have tried 3 types of sparkplugs, but all the same. All spark plugs have same color after running for a while, so no misfire.

Any advice? Anyone know the proper factory spark plug gap to try?

Hi spark plugs are only one part could be the coils/coil pack. All parts of the ignition system could cause misfire when running even damaged leads.

Thanks for your reply.

My engine bay is as a new, as I can see the wires are as a new. I don't think it is misfire. If there is misfire, there must be fault in memory?

May it be that the gap is to big or to low?
