When you say it is cutting out is it just stalling on low revs or total failure when driving. Does car restart/reset when turned off/then on?

This what google had to say about error code P061C:

Possible causes

  • Faulty Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP)
  • CKP harness is open or shorted
  • CKP circuit poor electrical connection
  • Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP)
  • CMP harness is open or shorted
  • CMP circuit poor electrical connection
  • Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

yikes i've had same problem in another make of car turned out to be a faulty crankshaft sensor which had also been replaced recently.
