Seat covers and floor mats.

Featured Replies

Evening all.

Earlier this year my OH bought herself a splendid looking 17 plate Fiesta in a rather fetching shade of red. She's hoping that if she's been a good girl Santa might bring her some decent seat covers and floor mats.

Would an of you good folk know where I, sorry, Santa can find some? She wants decent covers rather than those God-awful universal canvas bag things, same with the mats.

Much thanks in advance.

Martyn.

Make sure you buy seat covers that allow for the air bags.

Good place to start:

In terms of Mats, i would recommend Fiesta specific ones with retaining clips, I am not sure about the MK8s, but in the MK7.5 if the matt doesn't have a cut out for the accelerator pedal the pedal can't go all the way to the floor and if its not far back enough, the pedal can get stuck under it, what i did was get a cheap generic set, modified it with a knife, got some after market retaining clips, made holes for them and then put them on, the retaining clips are important because they stop the mat moving forward and causing the accelerator to get caught on the mat

For winter time I'd suggest all rubber mats, lovely carpeted mats soon become a right mess during the wet times.

Thanks Ian, I went ahead and just ordered from the link you kindly posted, thanks very much.

Just taken delivery and can confirm these mats fit my Mk8 perfectly, seem to be really well made good quality and grip well.

OK mate, leave it with me, will nip out tomorrow and snap a way 🙂

They are certainly good quality mats and very very good value for the price, having said that I think I would put the carpet mats back in as soon as the good weather arrives  then back to the rubber ones each winter

OK,

Finally found a moment to dodge the showers and get a bit of light to take the photo's.

Just a side issue, can you see on my 1 year old Fiesta, bought used, it still has the blue protective plastic on the chrome sill plates 🙂

so pictures include all 4 mats (please excuse the wet footprints have just got out after trip to B&Q) front and back, notice how one of back ones has an extra flap to cover the raised centre drive shift carpet.

these mats fit perfectly, and as they are tray mats if you spilt your drink, it would contain it quite well, hopefully you could pour it back into the can 🙂 🙂
