Fitting front drivers wheel arch splash guard

Hi,

New member, anyone any idea how to fit new splash guard, ordered part, vendor assures me its the right one, all numbers tell me its the right one, various websites confirm its the right one but, cant get it to fit, holes dont line up, front and back of the wheel arch are square, new part is curved, its a zitec climate model, hatchback, is there any difference to normal model ? Spent 2 hours tying to make it fit. looks like i will have to cut it in various places to make it go anywhere near/

Ant info appreciated.

    shouldn't need to cut them it sounds like they are not the right ones. Where did you buy them from part number etc.

    part number on label is 110523, number stamped on part is FE 2008 PP, comes from REZAW-PLAST ordered from  yourcarlamps (7718) 99 % pos raiting

    2008 was the model changeover year...  I wonder if you've bought a Mk7 arch liner for a Mk6?

    date in logbook is september 2008, nothing i can find tells me its a mark 6 or mark 7 any idea where that will be ?

    The models look totally different.  Mk6 is small and squarish.  Mk7 is bigger and curvy.  

    I'm fairly sure there wasn't a Zetec Climate trim level on the Mk7s so it's likely to be a Mk6 as below?

    Ok, that makes it a bit awkward to find parts based on year alone unfortunately.   You're looking for the '2002 - 2008' model.

    I can't find any new ones from a quick ebay search but there are plenty of used ones -
