Licence Plate Lights

Featured Replies

Dear All,

Today as result of my Licence Plate Lights on my Ford Transit Trend rwd 350 are not working it caused for MOT failure, I cannot be absolutely confident to when this began. I have 10 days to represent it for free MOT but either way as my sole vehicle I need to get to bottom and get it back on the road.

So I went  eurocarparts and got two new bulbs thinking easy fix but no. The bulbs are not evening slightly lighting up. All the rear exterior lights so brake, indicator, and rear fog all working correctly. All the front lights all working.

I discounted the licence plate harness where there is connects with body of the van internally behind the rear taillights. I cleaned up the connector and re-connected but still nothing. Does this connector look normal? I see online the connector for licence plate harness that connects into the connector of my attachment but cannot find image of the connecting end as seen in my attached photo.

I looked in the manual and fuses appear to be left hand exterior lights F15, left-hand exterior lamps, right hand position lamps, highmounted stop light. But if were to be a fuse surely rest of the lights would be out.

Has anyone else encountered this strange issue?
