Ford Radio - Asks For Code Everytime

Featured Replies

Morning all. This may well have been asked before but can't find anything specifically, but apologies in advance if it has. I have recently bought a 1.25 Fiesta Style, 2008, lovely little car, for my son's girlfriend. Only one issue, the radio keeps asking for code everytime the car is witched on/off. I do have the code, but there must be a solution to this? Anyone come across this before please? Is it a battery disconnect reset, or is there an aux battery in there or similar??  Thanks all.

Check the fuse box, sounds like a blown fuse for the permanent feed.

Many thanks, will check that first.

That did the trick! Changed the little 3 amp fuse, all working again as it should be, thanks.

One more question please, the colour of the car is Amethyst; I have looked on the forum here how to decode the paint code and V5 doesn't seem to tie up with that. On the Ford site which I found by a post on this forum, the registration number brings up Amethyst. Am I reading the code V5 correctly? Are there more than one shade of this also? Thanks.

The shades vary slightly from year to year which is a pain in the *****.
