Orange spanner light on Ford Fiesta ecoboost ‘18

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a problem. When I turn engine on after few minutes of drive orange spanner pops up on a dash board. It doesn’t shows when ignition is on but only when I drive. Usually happens when I change gears down (let’s say from 3rd to 2nd or from 2nd to first gear) or when rpm are around 3k rpm

i have had  full service at Ford last week I told them about the problem but they could not find it. All they done was change oil etc. I spent £240 and still problem not fixed.
please help

If you can replicate the problem, see if you can drop the car in whilst running with the “orange spanner” illuminated. Hopefully if you can do that they will be in a better position to read codes and resolve the problem once and for all.

It’s been solved. My local mechanic plug in computer and says breaking pedal stop switch light has a problem. We reset/earse problem then took a drive while testing breaking pedal and didn’t come up on dash board so it’s back to normal now. When will show up again I will know what’s the problem then order new switch. At the moment it’s working
