Central locking won't stay locked

Featured Replies

Hi had a look a quick look but can't see a thread the same. Sorry if there is. My focus mk3 as just started unlocking its self when you lock it. I have even done it with the key but does the same. It still activates the alarm though. If I press the door lock on the remote afew times it locks the car but unlocks after afew minutes. Have noticed a red warning light in between the fuel and temp gauges when I press the lock button. Hope someone can help.

May not be of any help, but if you have an erroneous door open alarm, that may well stop the car locking.  It certainly does on Fusions, so the same logic may apply to a 2012 Focus.

To sort out my Fusion, it needed a complete new door lock assembly......
