Great Little Cars

Featured Replies

Forums are a bit like the IT department in an office, nobody ever rings the IT guy to say everything is working fine! Which brings me to pen this quick post. I recently bought a 2008 (58) Fiesta 1.25 'Style' for a relative, as she needed a 'cheap' car. The budget was tight so I looked at Swift's, Jazz's, Yaris's, Polo's, which for one reason or another were just not good enough (one had the door sprayed by what looked like the family Hoover!). Then I found this very original (paint/panel gaps) Fiesta, new MOT, full service book 88k timing belt done. What I have found is that all the 'snagging' has been logical and (fairly) straight forward to do. Lovely to work on in fact. The boot solenoid needed doing, 10 minutes, done and boot now opens on button on the dash and key fob. Radio code kept flashing every time ignition turned on/off. 3amp fuse replaced (with help from the forum here, thanks), sorted. Interior had paint over it, so sourced a mint interior from a breakers (from a 37k car), all swapped over perfectly, no fuss. I have owned loads of cars over the years and, whilst it is early days with this Fiesta, my first impressions are very, very positive. Great little car . Great forum as well.

Glad you're happy, I share the same feelings, had to buy my first ever car in my life, as just retired (Early) and was lucky to have had 44 years of company cars.

I felt like a total novice when it came to buying my first car at 60 years of age 🙂

lots of research taught me that buying the best selling car in the UK can't be a bad thing.

I thought moving from a larger car to this Fiesta would be a major shock, but was pleasantly surprised it actually feels no different.

I truly love my Fiesta and say so to my wife each time we drive out in it.  We bought it in September used 1 year old with 4 000 miles on the clock.

This fantastic forum is the best I have ever been a member of, the guys here are so friendly and helpful, and for the first time ever I've found a forum without nasty people posting keyboard warrior type comments.....what a breath of fresh air 🙂

hope you enjoy your Fiesta for many years to come 🙂

Couldn't agree more.   I'm on my fifth Fiesta and loved them all.

We're on number 5 as well, coincidentally!😀

I am on my 6th Fiesta, i started with 2 Fiesta’s then had 3 Escorts, then 2 Focus’s & I’ve had 4 Fiesta’s to date.

5 and a half....  One is a Fusion !

Just bought the extract same car, same year, and I think it's a great little car

My last car was a Skoda Fabia, two years older than the Fiesta, but the Fiesta is a much better car.

MPG is not as good, but I prefer the 1.25 engine over my old three cylinder engine.

Forum has also been great and very helpful, sometimes on the Skoda forum the keyboard warriors worked overtime.

Here's to many years of reliable motoring, fingers crossed 😀

As a coincidence, my elderly parents have had an 06 Fusion from (almost) new. Again, been a great little car, very reliable, very little has gone wrong with it.

I fell in love with the Fiesta right at mk1

Had one for the day as courtesy car while mine was in for a service.  Couldn't get over just how well it held to the road and steered brilliantly on the bends.
