Best engine in 2018/2019 st fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi there, i am looking at buying the 2018/2019 ST fiesta, wondered what you guys might think is the best engine in the range?? 100ps..120.ps or the 140..

many thanks..

the ps you quote are for the st line 1ltr engine. fiesta st is 1.5ltr 0-60 in 6.5 sec insurance group 29

i have a 140ps 0 - 60 in 9 sec insurance group 15

125ps 0 - 60 in 9.5sec (group 14) and the 100 is about 12 sec group 6

depends what you are going to use it for, personally you can never have enough power.

As you quote the 100/125/140 ps I presume, like Simon, that you're meaning the ST-Line rather than "full fat" ST?

In that case, I'd certainly recommend the 140. Very little difference price wise, even when new. The 140 has slightly lower overall gearing than the 100/125 which, to me, does enable it to make the most of the power and I think it just somehow feels nicer to drive than 100/125's I've tried.
