Ford transit cut out when hot

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just bought a 2013 transit ex police van to convert to a camper. Its a 2.2d 350t lwb. I'm having intermittent problems of it cutting out when hot. Drove 8 miles home from work this morning, sweet as a nut from cold, pulled up outside home and cut out. It's as if I've stalled it but I just hear the clicks from the batteries under the seat when I try to re start it. Leave it an hour to cool and it starts with no sign of the problem. Any help and advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

Love to revive an old thread. I hope you've got email notifications turned on. Did you ever sort this? I've got exactly the same issue and it happens after around 6-8 miles too. Cuts out and won't restart, no crank at all. Leave it an hour and it starts again
