Cabin fan speed

Featured Replies

I find that fan speed on 1 to be too slow to do much and 2 yet can be too much so I have to keep switching between those two.

Possible to hack somehow? Original is in some sort of resin

usually if those go, you have no cabin fan until its on setting 4, so it probably either something else or it is working completely fine

Completely forgot to mention model X), it's 2014 1.0 Ecoboost

Fan is working but I am simply not liking speed settings so would like fan working a bit faster on 1.

I could hack something up using regular resistors but do not know wattage I would need.

is it constant through the speed settings though? because if it is then chances are everything is working as it should be

Yes everything is working as Ford intended but I do not like those speed settings, simple as that 🙂

1 is too slow and 2 is too fast for my liking.

It is designed as ford intended why change something that they deemed suitable are you in some part of the world with climate its not suitable for?

Guys, if you do not have any constructive suggestions I do not see point of your posts. I think I explained more than enough what and why I want it. I do not care what ford intended

changes can have a knock on effect if you don't know what you are doing or understand why its designed that way engineers have parameters too work too.

First time I’ve ever seen someone need a 1.5 setting for the fan, have you tried changing the air direction or using recirculate?

Didn't try recirculate, there is no point of that especially in winter time as it will just create more moisture.

Speed 1 is not enough to keep cabin warm enough or to defog windows when it is cold or to keep cool in summer time.

Speed 2 gets cabin too warm after some time even if I set temp on the lowest warm position.

lucky new car have temperature control.

maybe you have a fault would of thought a 2014 car would have it.

once up to temperature on 2 switch too 1?

Temp control switches from heating to cooling without issues, so I don't think it is faulty.

Yes but I have to do that constantly, as it gets cold after some time, hence this topic.

It would be best to compare with someone with same car but don't have anyone to do so.

are you sure one of your windows aren't slightly open, since that has happened to me and i found out one of my rear windows were slightly open, not enouhg for rain to get in but enough for the cabin to loose heat
