Rear Mudflap Fitting

Featured Replies

Picked up my Fiesta Zetec 1.4 petrol in squeeze on Saturday , delighted with it ,and ordered some rear mudflaps today.

How easy are they to fit? Do I need to remove the road wheel or is there enough space to fit in situ? Would be grateful for any help or tips.Thanks.

Dave

What mudflaps have you ordered, original Ford ones or the rally type ones from Performance Creations / TeamTorquesteer?

I can advise on the fitting of the latter ones. ;)

Very easy to fit, just require patience. I put ford ones on the front and back of my car in the dark with no experience so you should be fine! Instructions come in the packaging and are pretty clear. Plastic clips you have to remove to fit the flaps are a complete b*****d though.

EDIT: No need to remove road wheel btw, there is enough room for manoeuvre.

Went to pick them up today , but they had order the rears instead of fronts (muppets) lol.

They are Ford mudflaps , how do you remove the plastic clips RickyBobby?

On the off chance is it these plastic clips on the rear you mean.

If it is you need to get a thin screwdriver placed into the wee slot or groove and then try and prise the middle pin bit out. ;)
