Fiesta ST3 Mk8 2019 jack and spare wheel advice.

Featured Replies

Recently bought this car and it came with the puncture repair kit. Same with my old 2010 Fiesta but I found it easy to pick up a jack and space saver wheel on eBay, however not so easy with this one. The car has 18" wheels and the owner handbook specifies a 15" temporary spare be used. The problem is the jack. Jacks for current Fiestas have a weird shape at the end that fits to the sill, side on looks like an 'S' shape with one side higher than the other so I guess that the sill must be deeper one side of the sill to the other. However mine appears equal depth both sides. My old jack was one of the single foot types and this does not clear the bottom of the sill without fouling it so I think it needs to be a scissor type. As far as I can ascertain Ford do not specify a jack for this model. Anybody can give me any advice? Cheers.

I bought a jack from a local Ford dealer when I had mine. It wasn't even that expensive.

I got a spare off ebay from a Mk7.

If you are worried about fitting over the front brakes, it's best to rotate the wheels around so the spare is on the back anyway.

Can you remember how much it was? I was quoted £187 for a Jack, clamps and holder etc from a stealer. 😮 For that price I'd want a wheel to be included! I am like the OP, I have a wheel from a Mk6 Fiesta which fits, but the Jack and clamps don't. I need a scissor type jack.

This is from last year but I doubt it’s gone up much:

The jack and brace pt no 2176911 is £39.86+vat
