2006 1.6 tdci ambiance loses all aceleration and all lights come up

Hi guys, sorry for the lousy english. I recently bought a 2006 1.6 tdci ambiance  all was well when suddently one day all the dash boaes lights came up and the car stalled and lost all acceleration, could still roll with the first gear and when turned off it would not re ignite for hours, this stoped for a couple days then it kept happening. i dont understand anything about cars and im afaraid this will be costly for me, any idea what this could be?

    Check for loose battery terminals. Also this year of focus suffered from bad soldered connections in the instrument cluster.
