Hi all,

I have a 1988 xr3i that was perfect when it was dry stored, now it’s mot’d again and repainted, I need to address the 5th gear issue, when it came out of storage 5th gear selects but nothing happens when I release the pedal, 

Does anyone have any ideas,

to recap, 1,2,3,4 and R gears are perfect, 5th gear selects but you get no drive

    Have you checked gear linkages could be as easy as a little bit of grease to solve. sounds like lack of lubrication to me if worked previously. link could of popped off ball joint if seized.
