Updating Sound System On New Fiesta 59 Plate

Featured Replies

Hi

I am annoyed at the constant rattles every time the bass kicks in with the sound system on my new Fiesta.

Can you guys indicate the best way to resolve this?

Is it something Ford Dealer will look at or should i go down the DIY route?

If i go DIY what dom i need? Who does this kind of thing? Halfords? or are tehre better people to upgrade the speakers etc?

Do i need to have foam etc put in the doors (3 dr car)?

Any advice gratefully recieved.

How did you guys correct the problem or is it just my vehicle?

Thanks in advance

John

Hi John,

I bought a small 10inch sub with build in amp to sort the problem out for me... this way you lower the bass on the headunit and therefore the door speakers don't kick as hard and you get a much better experience.

If you didn't want to go this route i suggest buying some dynamat from eBay and take the door cards of to sound deaden the speaker frame and door panels.

Have a look for some guides, there's a good few advantages of sound deadening to.
