I have a 2015 (65) fiesta 1.0 ecoboost and yesterday I experienced oil light and engine light on due to low oil pressure, and really rattly noises. had it scanned and came up with camshaft and crankshaft correlation. Asked a Ford master tech who then told me due to oil starvation my engine has suffered internal damage. He then said as this has been a common problem in some models Ford would cover it. Would this be correct?also have full service history with 50k miles. And 6 months into a finance agreement.

    It was a fairly common problem. I believe it was that the oil pump pickup gets blocked and starves the engine as a result. I wouldn't hold my breath in terms of getting Ford to foot the cost for repairs though.
