Mk7 stereo in a 7.5

Featured Replies

I have a mk7.5 fiesta with BT and blue display but would really like dab

would a Sony unit from a Mk7 be plug and play?
ive read so many threads but cannot find a definite answer- presume I’d need to add a dab aerial

alternatively is is just possible to swap the blue screen for a colour one- looks nicer

I made a topic about fitting a DAB unit here:

With a bit more fiddling it is possible to fit the coloured satnav screen (bit of wire splicing and an antenna required) but isn't overly difficult.

It isn't possible to fit any of the pre-facelift parts though. The facelift has SYNC which isn't compatible with the older units.

Thanks for the advice

looks good something i think I want to do but will need to look into an elm adapter too

did you ever need to fit the aerial in the boot?

Those adapters are like £15 and well worth having if you're sticking with Ford for a while.

No mine worked perfectly fine on the original aerial until I sold the car about 18 months after I posted that.
