Window Tinting

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone no if you are legally able to have front tints and to what tint?

Can anyone recommend a particular film?

Thanks

just copied this off some website...

behind the B Post (ie rear passenger windows and rear screen) there are no limits

side windows in front of the B Post (ie front passenger windows) must allow 70% of light through

front windscreens must allow 75% of light through

If your front windows all ready have a slight tint to them (as most do), don't apply anymore tint. Thats the maximum you are allowed.

If you apply more tint your be making them illegal and may find yourself being stopped by the police, if its a nice cop he will make you peel it off at the side of the road and let you on your way, if its a bad cop he will issue you with a Fixed Penalty.

Could you live with yourself if you had an accident and seriously hurt someone and the tint on your front windows attributed to it?
