Zetec S exhaust addition

Featured Replies

Hi I’ve recently just bought a 1.0L ecoboost zetec s and I’m looking to do some modifications to the exhaust so was just wondering what I need to do to make this happen. Cheers

Excuse the slightly sarcastic post, but try here.

Seriously though, it's just a case of googling and watching YouTube videos to see which system you like the sound of. Do you want a full turbo back exhaust or just a cat back? Do you want to splash out on a sports-cat? Decat? It all depends on what sort of power you're after.

Was just wondering if I’d have to buy an ST back bumper to be able to fit an exhaust etc.

Nope, there is already an exhaust cut out on the Zetec-S which is actually in a different spot to the ST rear diffuser. If you buy an off the shelf exhaust from a reputable company (such as Cobra, Miltek, Skorpion, Airtec, Mongoose etc.) for the 1.0L ecoboost Fiesta then it will bolt on no problem.

If you want the ST diffuser for the look then it is a fairly easy install. Just 2 plastic rivets you need to drill out then just unclips and new one clips in. Like I say you would have to either buy a rear section from an ST180, or re-weld your rear section to match the new cut out.

Many threads on this topic if you have a good search on here. Usual thing is to fit the ST rear valence to make a neat job if fitting a twin outlet exhaust. They crop up used on Ebay, or you can get a new one from the likes of Pumaspeed (or Ford of course). Mountune did a package of cat back exhaust and valence but they were out of stock last time I looked.

Or, as Luke says, you can find one that will fit in with the Zetec S valence. Depends really what type of exhaust you want and how you want it to look.
