Is it just me or is the Ecosports ( and perhaps other models) reversing camera far to bright at night,its blinding .

Having to put a cloth over it when reversing at night ,surely there is a method of reducing the camera  glare ?

Afaik there's no way to adjust the brightness. Cars seem to differ even on the same model - mine is ok, fortunately.

 

 

I know not the same car but on my MK4 focus, when the sync was on v3.3 the camera was blinding.  It updated to 3.4 and that sorted it, it now is dimmer at night not brighter and actually usable now.

Thanks for the replies guys, seems we are stuck with an annoying bit of kit ,would have though the Ford geeks could have found a simple fix !!

Mine is a bit bright but my drive is dark so I find it useful.

Thought it starnge that my reverse camera was not that bright the other night,it was just the right illumination....seems the  o/s reverse bulb had blown,so it may be a fix to take one out if you find the brightness an issue,or maybe change the bulbs for lower wattage ones , mind you it looks a real mission to access them !!
