Featured Replies

My Daughter has a 2009 Mk7 fiesta and am wanting to replace the radio because the Bluetooth doesn’t work or the Aux socket any suggestions on where to get a new one not concerned if it’s genuine or after market any suggestions would be appreciated

Have you tried unplugging the sync module and reattaching it? Under the passenger dash in the footwell

2009 won’t have sync.

You should be able to fit the Sony headunit out of a later model.

If you wanted the same unit, and don't mind having second hand, there will be many breakers yards that will have the same unit. You could search ebay for that particular model or look for new model, or go to somewhere like Halfords that do aftermarket units at fairly reasonable prices.

Not sure that will fix the non working BT and Aux in

is these not a ‘unit’ that the BT and aux is plugged into. ??

I’m pretty sure the Sony unit has a different connection and operates in a different way

Bluetooth isn't incorporated into the head unit. It's a separate module above the passenger footwell as said above. Whilst it isn't called SYNC (only available on the facelift models), it is still installed in exactly the same spot and operates kind of the same where the USB, aux in, and Bluetooth feeds into this module before going to the head unit.

You cant fit the later Sony unit because of SYNC not being compatible with a pre-facelift mk7 (what you have). You can install the Sony from the pre-facelift but there's little gain...

Usually the issue is with Bluetooth itself and a 'hard reset' (taking the fuse out for half an hour) will fix it. However I suspect in your case the module itself may have failed.
