Occasional battery drain related to Sync unit - 2014 SE

Featured Replies

I've had occasional battery drain with my 2014 Fiesta SE for sometime now, it's happened enough that I figured out that it at least has something to do with the Sync unit.

Eventually after enough use my Sync unit will stop responding to input from touch/buttons and the volume knob. If I do nothing the battery is completely drained within 2-3 days, if I want to fix it I either have to disconnect the battery or pull the fuse for the radio for a few seconds before putting it back. Unfortunately I forgot to do one of these a few days ago so the cars battery is currently dead, again.

Has anyone run into this, and found a solution?

Replace the Sync module and see what happens. They're only £20 or so on eBay.
