MK 7.5 EGR REMOVAL

Featured Replies

Hi,

Ive spent some time searching online and in here but can only get reference to <2012 egr removal guides.

Are there any for 1.6 tdci from 2013 onwards? Ive got a vehicle that will run for 10 minutes, stutter and cut out throwing up an EML but my reader wont give me the code. Recently the economy has dropped from 500 miles per tank to 400, im presuming an EGR issue.

Any help appreciated

What code reader are you using? Cheap generic ones wont give you Ford specific codes. You need a modified Elm327 cable and a copy of Forscan on a laptop. It's as close as you can get to dealer level IDS, but a fraction of the cost £15 for the adapter, Forscan is free.

Yip - cheap rubbish scanner TBH. Thanks for the reply. Is there a quality forum sponsor I can buy a decent OBD cable from? So much choice on Amazon, many seem US market only?

Thanks again.

Tunnel rat is the usual recommendation for the adapter, that's where I got both mine from (USB & WiFi) and would definitely recommend them.
