Intermittent power failure of my radio head unit

Hello good ford people.  I was wondering if you can throw some light on my fault. i have a 2017 Mk7 fiesta st ecoboot. i start the car and sometimes within a minute, sometimes 15 minutes approx. i have total power failure to the radio or the screen display etc. the screen goes blank and pressing the power button makes it restart again every time.  This will continue until i stop using the radio and leave it off. It has sat nav. I have code read it and no codes are stored apart from 1 relating to to steering wheel left switch pack.  I know the buttons on that don't work and it was my plan to look at this until my radio unit packed up.  I have removed the head unit to check for loose connections to the head unit and i have noticed that the screen still powers up and works. However the screen doesn't now fail with the head unit currently removed for a couple of days. What do you think it can be please
