and had a Engine convestion from a 1.1 8v ?? to this what i can tell is a 1.6 16v efi zetec :/

beleave the wishbones are going or shot? as car trys steering for me a little ? but my main problem its the power there is none ? its sounds like it is trying to cut out ? or just slugish? 0-60 5 minutes lol. got 92mph out of it down a 5 mile straigh, was stuck at 4.200 rev's,and when i lifted off there was loads sparks coming out the exhuast?? and if you rev it it wont pass 5.000rpm and sounds very unhealthy/ valve bounce?? but its just so slow??? and last thing its puffs black/ blue smoke on full throttle :/ help me please....

Nice colour.

Not sure about those wing mirrors and those clear rear lights.

Imo the wing mirrors look better if they are the originals colour coded and the smoked xr2i rear lights.

The Reason the so called 0-60 time is so slow is that :-

You had a car full of people.

You have an exhaust larger than a deep pan pizza

Is the Engine a CVH or a Zetec

Valve oil seals springs to mind.

How many miles has the engine done not the car.

Were the brakes uprated as well as the suspension

thank you, i will upload a pic of engine l8r, but should be around 110bhp ? this does feel slower then a 1.1 with just me in the car, and to everything else the car is how i bough it for yestaday, so any help be great..

a freind told me the cat could be blocked ? for the reason i am loosing power ? and its says bon engine 16v zetec , looks same as a mk5 escort engine but this one has a efi on top of it ??

Found out the piston rings are on the way out :'(

Shame, I had a 1.6 zetec last year and sold it for £150 with 11 months MOT. Engine was spot on but the rest was knackered.
