Retrofitting parking sensors

Featured Replies

So after a couple of weeks of owning my Mk8 fiesta st-line and finding all its perks. I’m missing the luxury of rear parking sensors. Seeing as though it has a few other features I thought parking sensors would be one.
So, the rear bumper is damaged anyway, so rather than have it repaired. I could buy a replacement that has sensors fitted? What’s involved in installing them? Are they plug and play then program? Or is it a no go on the sensors?

I’ve seen a couple of half answers about this but no definitive answer. I’d rather not waste money on something that can’t be done.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I can't comment on the Mk8 but in the Mk7 parking sensors could be fitted afterwards, either aftermarket or OEM/Ford parts, but the rear parking display (non-camera setup) is not possible.

If the Mk8 has anything similar to the Mk7 then you'll be able to fit and use the parking sensors with the audible warning but maybe not any inbuilt display options from a factory build.

I'm sure that some Mk8 owners who've got the sensors will be able to assist further.
