Rear Washer Jet!?

Featured Replies

Morning. Bought a second hand Mk5 Mondeo 2.0 diesel 180 Titanium and picked it up yesterday. When I got home, which was over 100miles away, I tried to clear the back window. The wiper works as it should, but the washer jet doesn’t pump water out and I can’t hear any pumps activating. The front ones work fine, no problems at all.

Anyone point me in right direction as I’m at a loss with what it could be. I’m going to contact the garage back today but just wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be?

regards

If you can’t hear a pump going and the fuses are all intact, I’m guessing the pump on the water reservoir has stop working , there usually are two, one for the front screen and one for the rear . It could be a wire or the pump .
unless it’s frozen of course. Hopefully a simple fix at the garage where you bought it from

Yeah, I can here the front one fine, but nothing from the rear. I assumed that there was only one pump. God knows but I will try an call them today🙄

I also understand that there is only on pump, so it could be a switch issue
