Engine swap without telling insurance

Featured Replies

I have a Ford Fiesta 1.25L duratec, and I just wanted to see what people are saying/ what advice they could give on doing a 1.4 or 1.6 engine swap, I know it’s risky and could be trouble with insurance but the 1.6 duratec engines look almost identical to the 1.25L if I’m not mistaken the engines go for about £150-£200, not a definite thing just wanted some advice and opinion because I would like to get a bit more power out mines, and also would the stock parts on the 1.25 be able to handle a 1.4/1.6

I'm sure everyone on here will tell you the same thing: Failure to advise your insurer will invalidate your insurance. Driving without valid insurance is a serious offence.

If you can't afford the cost of insuring a modified car - don't do it.
