I got hid light on my Ford Focus my right dipped beam bulb went out so I bought a new one put it in and tried it, still didn’t work so I googled it and it said  change the ballast so ordered one and put it in and it’s still not working? 
 

anyone else know/think the problem could be?

    Might be corrosion on the plug itself? Have you tried to clean the pins etc? I had that issue with the cornering lights, on one side. 

    I had to fault mind my Xenons, first I moved the bulb to the side that worked, then the ballast... turned out to be a failing bulb.
