Ford Sync 3 UK Website - Not Downloading Latest Maps Update

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have a 2017 Ford Fiesta Titanium 125HP Ecoboost 1.0 UK vehicle and am having trouble downloading latest maps update. I have inputted my VIN number on Ford Sync and Maps Updater website and it says a 25GB Map update is available.

When I click prepare maps download it just says 'preparing please wait ' with a spinning circle (even after 1 hour). Anyone else having issues downloading this month

A couple of things spring to mind...

You have a Ford Fiesta with Sync3 - if it's a MK8 then that's that sorted.

The website is able to download to your local hard drive and you have sufficient space available? ( if its a work machine then downloads may be restricted by policy )

Yes I have enough storage space and have tried multiple browsers including chrome and on different systems.

Any suggestions anyone

Try a different browser/computer, or wait a few days and try again - i'm getting map update 0GB showing which downloads but contains nothing!

I get that too, seems to be the default outcome of late when you’re all up to date.

Its strange because I am still on F8 maps and the update appears to right in terms of a F9 map.

What sync version are you running? I'm on 3.0.19205 with F8 Maps

I was considering the Upgrade to 3.4 unofficially using cyanlabs tools but will this void my cars warranty?

I’m on the same Sync3 firmware as you but with F9 maps ( which I installed last summer when I got my 2018 Fiesta )

I am having the exact same problem. It spins away for ages and then says there has been a problem and to try again later. I have been trying for 3 days now.
