Starter/Ignition issue

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me sort out my little old motor. It has been Sorn off the road for a few months now, and I'm finally getting around to getting her back on the road.

So the car wouldn't start at all. Fair enough I thought, battery on charge (quite new) Battery tests came back excellent. Still wouldn't start at all, new starter and bingo.

Or so I thought. It appears to only start up when the ignition has fully turned on. It takes a long time for the dials, radio and fuel gauge to come to life. After that most of the time it starts.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking a faulty relay maybe? But really I'm useless with electrics.

Many thanks
