I am hoping someone with some more knowlade or experiance how can help me here.

For 5 door Fiesta V models there are two part numbers for the third break light:

1345495 - Covers 2001:2005; Costs approx. £20-30

1363489 - Covers 2005:2008; Costs £35-50;

Now to my untrained eye, these two parts look identical. Just the pricing is different. I cant spot anything in the picutres at all that differs but I don't nececarily know what to look for specifically.

For reference I have a 08' Zetec Blue so officially would use 1363489 and am looking to replace the unit due to a perished seal allowing water ingress into the boot! The price difference isn't a killer but my curiosity is getting the better of me as to why they differ.

I have written to a couple of ford parts suppliers to ask what exactly the difference is.

Will see if there is any success but I would imagine they will just stonewall with that year, that part number end of.
