Water leak issue Fiesta 2013

Featured Replies

Hi folks I do 500 miles a fortnight in my 13 plate fiesta diesel 155cc, over the last few months I’ve noticed every fortnight my water level goes from maximum to minimum so I’ve been topping it up to the maximum mark, I have looked and can’t find any signs of leaks, it would be great if anyone has any ideas before I take it to a garage thank you.

The tanks are prone to micro-cracking which would be the cheapest/easiest solution.

Check the oil filler cap for signs of emulsifying oil which would indicate either condensation caused by short journeys (unlikely if you do 250 miles a week) or a failing headgasket

Thanks Luke, my old man thinks it may be micro cracking, he will get his mate to do a pressure test. Thanks for the reply
