Hello, I have a 2007 fiesta zetec s 1.6 petrol. 

I have noticed that sometimes when I start my car, the revs shoot up too around 2k rpm and then come back down too proper idle speed. This mainly happens on cold starts but has also done it when warm. 

I have also noticed a hissing/metalic grinding under load at around 2k rpm. It doesn't make the noise while stationary, only while accelerating under load and makes the noise at 2k rpm. Anything about or below and it doesn't do it. 

Could it be a vacuum leak that is causing the high revs when starting and the hissing noise?
