Drivers side front headlight unit issue

Featured Replies

I've had to change a sidelight bulb on the drivers side headlight unit on my 2009 fiesta style plus. Whilst refitting the unit I've pushed a little bit too hard getting the unit back in and have broken the top tab off, (the one nearest the windscreen). I've put some power superglue on it to temporarily fix it, but want a more permanent fix.

I'm aware that you can get replacement tabs which I've seen on ebay and i still have the original tab off the unit, how much would a garage or bodyshop charge to plastic weld the tab back on? Or would it be easier and cheaper to buy a replacement unit, of the internet swapping the bulbs over and fitting it myself?

Any suggestions?

If your superglue is good strong stuff then I would leave it. Or use araldite glue , that's good on plastic .
