ford fuel vapour separator focus mk2

Recommended Posts

It's usually called a purge valve or evaporator valve nowadays.  Haven't had a vapour separator since the days of carbs!

It's located just off the right hand side of the engine, above the gearbox.

Hmm, looks like a slightly different layout than what I was expecting.

It should be roughly in the red circled area, but that looks like just a simple vac splitter without an electrical connection?  Best advice I can offer from that picture is to follow the vac pipe down underneath the inlet manifold to see if there's a small valve with a plug on it down there.  I'm fairly sure the upwards pipe will just go to the brake booster.

Found the part, it was in the area you circled, I took the air box filter out and I could see and have access to it, just underneath where was circled.

Thanks for you help tom focus 👍👍👍
