'Engine service now' and limp home

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new to the site.

I have a 2014 transit custom with 45k on the clock. A few weeks ago it developed a fault where there would be an error message on the dash saying 'engine service now' I also have an 'I' in a small box below. The van went into limp home mode.

For the first few days I would drive it a short distance and restart the engine. It would run normally and not show the error.

Now however the error message comes up straight after a restart.

There is a yellow engine light on the dash now.

I need the van for work so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Get codes read but i had this with mine and vapourisor was blocked therefore it wouldn't regen. Quite common problem.
