Fuel light stays on!!

Recently just bought a Ford Fiesta 2011 

I put in about ten litres of fuel in to top it up and the fuel light stays on. Any ideas of what this could be?? Been Tryna find answers everywhere on the internet

    Has the needle moved or is it still reading low?

    I suspect it'll sort itself out after a drive or two.

    Mine probably wouldn't register 10 litres of fuel being added on the fuel gauge.

    The needles gone up just over half way on the gauge but still an orange fuel light on and then on trip computer says 11mls then the fuel icon there too

    try disconecting and reconnecting the battery

    That's weird.  It's just a PCM glitch if the needle works fine though.  Should fix itself or you can try disconnecting the battery to reset it.
