Couple of questions.

Picked up my new to me 13 plate Galaxy 2.0 tdci yesterday morning . The car apparently had stood around 10 months. I attached my jump pack and it started instantly, left the engine running for some time but it had the eml on. my delphi said it was the dpf. Is it worth removing and cleaning or renew , or is there anything else i need to check. Also  are these belt or timing chain.

There are 2 Rubber pipes that go to the DPF (1 = 10mm & 1 = 8mm) the bigger of the 2 has a bad tendency of rotting (Heat damage) & throws a DPF fault, I did a forced regen on my 09 Galaxy & within 10 miles the EML light came back on? I got under the car with the intention of removing & power flushing it only to find the 10mm Hose had completely disintergrated!!

I removed both pipes & using the 8mm as a guide (For the length) I used a section of braided airline & put them both back in place... The EML light disappeared & hasn't reappeared since

(500 miles approx)
