Mk4 active 1.0 125hp Mild Hybrid - strange noise

Featured Replies

When the engine is warm , like after the initial 10 miles , it makes a strange noise between 2500 and 3000 rpm . It's like a "bird chip" . When it's cold , it doesn't do that noise . The iddle sound is also "wamwamwamwam" .

The car is 1500 miles , in the begining i was only going to 2500rpm but now i'm going till 3500rpm . It didn't do this noise in the beggining

Should i worry ?

It's similar , but mine doesn't depend on gear changing , it keeps doing as i accelarate or decelarate

I don't know what it can be.. If you find out please write, maybe I have same problem soo I can look 🤣

I have exactly the same noise in my mk4 1.0 ecoboost 155 hp MHEV. But mine does it between 2000 and 2200 rpm, and also when warm, never when it's cold. Did you finally find the source of that noise??

No i haven't.

I now have another concern .

Another noise at low revs , like  between 1000 and 1500 but only when hot , when slowly in heavy trafic

Seems progressing ...
