Reverse light wire for mk7 fiesta

Featured Replies

Hi I own a mk7 fiesta 66 reg. I am going to fit a reverse camera to it but I don’t know what colour is the reverse light wire. If you know can you tell me, I would really appreciate it.

if memory serves its the white wire, you can also check this by taking off one of your rear lights and just following the reverse light live wire from the inside to the plug to find the correct pin, then correlate that pin to the wire on the plug on the car side (thats what i did when i wired my reversing camera power to the brake light)

Thanks for letting me know. Will try that. If anyone else got any other ideas just let me know.

just out of interest what reversing camera are you fitting? and are you looking to wire it into the cars infotainment unit?

Do you know what colour the ground wire is

Its the black wire, look at the back of where the reverse light plugs into in the light, you will see a black wire and a white one, the black is ground, the white is switched (when you go into reverse) live, i would also highly reccomend testing this with a test light or multimeter

It is the left but I got it sorted

the blue wire  is reversing light

for 2016 fiesta

I'm trying to fit one to my android unit too, I get the lights on thr camera to light up but get no picture, ive connected the live wire to reverse and then then other to a negative, I contacted my seller to ask why.

How did you get yours to work?

can you show the wires going from the camera to the head unit? also are you sure these head units aren't like how ford head units deal with the reversing camera where the camera is constantly powered, and the head unit switches to the video feed triggered by the reverse switch?
