A/C works only when moving?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I'm new to the Fiesta ST scene have only had it for about 3 weeks now. I noticed my A/C blows very cold when moving but when I'm stoped at a intersection my A/C begins to blow warm air. As soon as I start moving again the ac starts to blow very cold again does anyone have this issue ?

Yep, I had this very issue last summer and it was the engine cooling / Ac fan that had gone.

is the refrigerant low?

I will double check tomorrow, I took it on a trip this weekend and didn't have any issues with the A/C as long as I was moving. Other issue I was dealing with was a clunky shifting 1st to 2nd and sometimes 3rd.

I will double check, I was thinking of recharging it this weekend.

Was it simple to replace? I am going to recharge it and if that doesn't work I'll look into what you had mentioned.

It was easy enough apart from having to disconnect the top radiator hose as I just could not slide the old fan out. The rad hose is 38mm diameter so I made a plug with my 3d printer to stop the block side draining whilst doing the job.
