Zetec S Engine Problems - Help

Featured Replies

I have a 2002 Fiesta Zetec S 1.6. It has been sat for about 6 months and I recently put new spark plug in. It was Mot'd yesterday and went straight through and was running ok but was a bit smoky. Put this down to it being sat for a while and though it just needed a good run to clear it through. Tonight it has started spluttering quite badly and the engine management light has come on. I have had a look at the spark plugs and there is no water but all four plugs are black and sooty looking. I have seen on some sights that this could be a coil pack but was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Hope you can help : )
