mk4 focus aerial onto mk3

Featured Replies

ok so the mk4 focus aerial is a sharkfin design the mk3 focus standard aerial. now in theory it should just be a matter of swapping the physical part over then connecting the right cables up. however the mk4 aerial i have has a different fakra connector to my original one so it wont fit. trying to find some kind of adaptor. the original one is the black one the mk4 one is the blue connector. now the Mk4 contains  a gps module which at the moment im not interested in. so im looking at the connection on the left side of both connectors.

anyhelp is appreciated thanks

Have you found any solution? I want to change the original antenna to a shark fin and I have the same problem with the connectors.

Brother in law has a shark fin on his Mk3 ST, I will ask which one and if it was a direct replacement.

Answer from B-I-L -

It was off an eBay company called paintmodz, it just went over where the original unscrews and has a wire that connects to the original connector.
